The recurring themes in Lars Reiffers' work include still life, nature, museum spaces, and historical paintings. In his often large-scale works, Reiffers explores the boundaries of painting and reinterprets the medium: seemingly old master techniques meet modern themes and content. In his painting "Roleplay" (pictured above), Reiffers confronts a deliberately staged type of museum visitor with the great figures of (art) history. In addition to the museum scenes, you can also look forward to opulent floral compositions, which reflect on the temporal nature and fleetingness of our ability to observe.
The artist will be present on the day of the vernissage.
